Name suppression has been granted to a man charged with voting multiple times in the 2017 General Election.
The 45-year-old Shirley man denies the charge, and the case has been set down for a judge-alone trial on September 18.
Defence counsel Vicki Walsh said the man maintained his not guilty plea at a case review hearing before Judge David Ruth in the Christchurch District Court today, and the trial was arranged.
The trial is expected to last about half a day.
The man is charged with multiple voting in Christchurch between September 11 and 23.
