For a little while, Christmas carols replaced the sound of the public address system summoning people into the Justice Precinct’s various courts.
Children from Westburn School in Avonhead sang carols, accompanied by a teacher on an electronic keyboard, as the courts took their lunch break on Thursday.
The children performed in the Precinct’s main foyer which reaches up several floors into the new building.
The audience was mainly court staff, plus some of the Court Safety Officers still clad in their usual stab-proof vests.
